KYC4, Speedo works now (just "jumpy"). Didn't do anything to it, just started working. Fuel gauge and tach still don't work. Need to address those at some point. Nice thing about this car is I can just peek down into the tank and see I have fuel. Haha.
Andy Tuttle, funny you mention those as that is exactly the mindset I adapted (well, except for # 2).
Great story, but very sorry to hear about our uncle's passing. I'm sure that he's happy, knowing that his car has a good home.
Just a precautionary thing, based on my past experience with C-3s. Before you do a lot of driving, you may want to install new boots and seals on the brake calipers. These were known to sometimes be troublesome, and you don't want to find out the hard way.
Hey - I dont have a lot of experience, but I have a 73 vette and just tested and replaced the fuel gauge and Radio. I have many pictures and would be happt to share any information on that can help get your's repaired. I was doing the same with the fuel for my first year. Such a relief now just being able to look at the gauge.
It a little bit of a pain, but worth it. keep plugging away.
Sorry about your uncle's health, and a generous gesture from your uncle. The car looks nice and shows you have a nice start towards fixing whats needed and keeping it in the family. Also a great move to get on this forum. There is a lot of knowledge here and many willing to help.
Good Luck
