Default thoughts on replacing leaf spring...

My 69's rear leaf needs replacing and I wanted to see thoughts on replacing it with a fiberglass monospring. If fiberglass is the way to go is there other things that need to be changed in conjunction to work well with the new leaf. I would guess some shocks work better than others for fiberglass leafs.

Vette is a cruiser, and just looking to make the ride a bit smoother

Thanks in advance!

Dont take it as gospel but I thought I read on this forum that a mono spring rides stiffer than the multi-leaf. maybe someone can correct me.

My 69 cruiser had a bad case of rear end hopitty hop, the car should of had a 9-leaf in in but someone put a 7-leaf in. I went with a 330# monoleaf from VBP and the 10" bolts. Great improvement in the smoothness of the ride while decreasing that hop at least 50%. Well worth the investment. T
You can get a shorter glass spring for wider wheels.
