I had the opportunity recently to celebrate #DayItForward by Chevrolet by thanking an old boss I had back in the late 80s/early 90s. Chevrolet honored him with a day at the Homestead Speedway in Florida with Corvette Tacing Team driver Ron Fellows providing driving instructions. WOW, the Z06 is an impressive car, even more so when driven by a professional race car driver.
This was all part of Chevrolet's Day It Forward campaign for how to thank someone special on Leap Day 2016.
WOW! That's a great way to honor someone. What better way for a Corvette guy to be honored than to have Ron Fellows in a ride along in a new C7 Z06. Thrilling!
I got the following video this morning, as part of a Chevrolet email. I saw your post yesterday, and figured this had to be you and your friend. I need some friends like you!
I had an opportunity to drive 3 different 2014 Z51 Corvettes, at NJ Motorsports Park, as part of a promotion that Chevrolet was running. It really is an amazing car to take out on a race track, and run at it's limits. I can only imagine what a ride with Fellows, in a Z06, must be like.
PM me your email, if you want me to forward the whole email to you.

Yes, I'm Gordon. Five hours of track time with cameras all over the place equals a one minute video, but being able to say thank you was priceless!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
