Default Check this out
Found this on the bottom of my oil pan on the 427 that I just installed in the 68 convertible. The engine sat on the stand for a long time and I never looked at the bottom. Should I leave it or paint over it?

Your car your choice. If you leave it and decide later you want to paint over it's not like a major project or extra work to get rid of it.

I would leave it. It is kind of unique, and not many people will ever get to see it. But when they do, imagine what they will think. Thats a very unique thing to see on the bottom of the oil pan.
