72 vert whats it worth
Jump on this!! From the CL ad, I'm gonna agree w bj1k and others on this Ontario Orange 72 Vert: $20k ain't sounding bad, especially if you can confirm matching numbers, which is easy to do on a 72. Check the Corvette Black Book.
If numbers match, paint & body are good & you are able to finish the car, you will have a car easily worth $25k or more.

I paid 19k for my 72 last year off of the forum. It was a 350/auto converted to 454 and Doug Nash 5-speed all HiPo parts and pushing 430 hp and 525 ft lbs of torque and it is blue on blue and to say the least it screams!

Good luck,
My concern would be the rebuild. Ask for paperwork where it was done? Everyone remembers where they spent money whats in it or at least the name of a shop.
Without it who knows! Could be new could be a good rattle can and gasket job?!
Undercarriage a biggie, trailing arms, bushings brakes etc all that can get expensive in a hurry. I will never buy a car with a "needs finished" interior again that made me old searching down all the little stuff that will be missing finding how it fits etc.
Try and visualize the car in primer and be objective; (look at needs) still get a good gut feel?
Good luck
