My 1978 corvette pace car has a problem with the blinkers. When I move the blinker switch into the right turn position it doesn't stay up it just falls back down, so I have to hold it to keep the blinker on. The left turn part works but the right turn doesn't, so what I am asking is what do I need to buy or fix to get this working like it should.
You'll need to replace the turn signal switch. They last well but are pretty much irrepairable when they break. They're easily available but if my experience is any measure get an OEM Delco! I first bought one from AutoZone and it refused to cancel (turn off after turning the corner).
Do yourself a favor and order one of these because if it's been in there for any length of time it will fall to pieces no matter how carefully you remove.
Also, since you know you're replacing the switch just cut the wire ribbon cable as it seems to be far more difficult to remove than to install.
Shouldn't this be a sticky on the forum?
I wonder how much I would need to fix my blinkers ? Of course I don't have lenses for mine yet so not sure I'd get any help here!
