I am sure you know well that war bonnet yellow is some folks very favorite corvette color my dad rip 2014 loved it so much he came close to having his avanti painted it but went pearl white, the pearl was heavy and almost painful in direct sun....
Great timing! First time classic owner and my first post (for sure not my last). Just picked up my 69 yesterday. Still need to get some better pictures, but here she is.
Built this out of (2) cars. Originally an L46 with ac, Monza red / black leather. Now it's a little bit of a 74 (engine, tranny) & 76 (interior) with the colors reversed.
Here's mine. I've owned it for about 18 years. Its a part of the family at this point.
Unrestored 427/390, 4 speed with air. It was originally Riverside Gold car, but was painted silver by the second owner in the mid-70s. His daughter, who was the 3rd owner, said he loved the "big motor" but hated the color. It will be gold again at some point. It still looks pretty good, but its not perfect by any stretch.
One cool thing (IMHO) is the delivery info. It shows a Zone 07, Dealer 000, and delivery to the State Fair of Texas.
It got a new fuel tank and rubber lines this weekend.
390hp 4 speed with factory ac and factory sidepipes. Basically unrestored, has new carpet and lacquer paint from 1987. I drive the crap out of it. Now an NCRS Duntov car. <br >
