Minor point: L-48, not L-42. Have you tried to determine what horsepower you have as it is? Based on the pics, a PO might have made some upgrades.

First step is to remove that Edelbrock sticker. May notice an improvement right there. :-) Doubling your HP is no small task. Start with the basics like headers/exhaust, tune, heads, cam, etc and you may be pleasantly surprised.

get rid of the plastic gas filter and rubber lines.
you already have an aftermarket intake.
if you have a 195 thermostat switch to 180.
what carburetor is under the air cleaner?
has the distributor been recurved, check for light springs and aftermarket weights?
as stated above, headers of some type.

200 more? Time to remove it and build a 383 with proper supporting mods like headers and exhaust.

Or drop in a create engine.

Adding 200 hp is unrealistic without a total engine teardown, machine work and replacement of most original parts. Or, you could add nitrous oxide to your existing engine - it might live for a while.

Not sure why another 200hp is your goal..But that's a real spendy upgrade for the 350 L48 engine..

You might be pleasntly surprised if you had the carp rebuilt by a competent Quadrajet mech-tech, vacuum lines all checked-reblasced.plugs, points plug wires? timing advanced 8 degrees from factory setting..The stock 350L48 is plenty quick and fast..A true 15 second quartermiler..even with some consider it's paltry 185 hp..jim

Well, quick and fast are relative terms, but a 15 second quarter isn't either.

Which is why I suggested you make the effort to know what you have before deciding to try to change it. Why not buy one of the How-To small block Chevrolet books and begin reading?

A set of headers and true dual exhaust removing the restrictive Catalytic converter(if you can where you live) should be the first thing you should do.

How much money do you want to spend? As others have state your goal would most likely require you to rebuild the engine. But Headers, duel, exhaust, and cam change will make a difference. If the bottom end is in decent shape a good set of heads.
Not that its a big deal but have you confirmed the car is a L82 by the vin? Looks like the hood emblems are a bit to close to the windshield, also there are other things from the photos that make me think the car is a L48 like the 2 core radiator.
