Road trip
Decided to go on a road trip to our favorite ice cream stand with a couple of buddies. Got part way to the meeting point and the 79 started missing, got to a light and it stalled. Would not fire up, cranked it and it smelled like it was flooded, accelerator to the floor and it fired up, left off the pedal died. Ok pedal to the floor fire it keep it revved and get off the street. My buddy came I fired it up he said black smoke just rolled. Tow or not tow, no way. So I went home, every stop floor it, start it, slip clutch, move. Made it home
Get one of the drivers met every one for ice cream, my buddies 60 Chevy was setting in the lot with the hood up. He threw a belt pulling in the lot. In search of belt, fix car in parking lot. On the second trip to get longer belt, went to open 07 Fusion door guess what, door won't open, wind window down open with outside handle and repeat as necessary, just to funny not to share. Our thought on the 79 dirt in the idle circuit, runs ok at highway speed
