Default Battery Connection 1975

The thread on the screw that goes into battery is stripped. how deep to I have to go into this to repalce

You can buy a replacement bolt at any auto parts store or Wal Mart.

Dorman Battery Side Terminal Bolts 60307

A lot of the ones you get at the average auto parts store are shorter and fit below the level of the rubber. They work, but make attaching jumper cables very difficult if necessary.


Pop out the old bolts and insert the new ones. It may take some pressure to get it inside the rubber cover, but it's not difficult.
