Default No turn signals

No turn signals front or rear. All bulbs are good.Flasher is new works fine on 4 way emergency. Bulbs are nice and bright. Redid grounds yesterday.
Took apart steering column wiring looks good. My question is does the turn signal cam with the spring go a certain way? I've install it with the cam, than the spring than the washer than the nut

What do I try next??

What year is the car? Up till 77 or so, the signal flasher is behind the right lower dash, the one in the fuse panel is for hazzard flashers.

It's usually held in a clip on the front side of the lower dash close to the right side.

In position not clipped in
if you take off the access panel and you can squeeze under the steering wheel you should see it. It sits below the front lights fiberoptic bar. Its snaps into a clip that just aqueezes the sides.

On the left in an early 68

Clipped in on left. Rectangle silver box next to it is wiper relay

Ok, I'm not familiar with the 68, I was guessing it was the same as early 70's for the flasher, learned something today.

Well after taking the center dash apart, the gauge panel out, both side panels.
I can not find he flasher unit. Did find the wiper relay but nothing next to it.
In the pictures it looks like purple and violet wires?? Sure can tell Budda owned this car before.

Did the signals ever work for you? You should get your hands on the dr.rebuild ez wiring place mats. They have all the correct plugs and wires and the order they come out of the harnesses. It helped me alot. Hopefully the plug is there somewhere

No worries. They changed alot of the stuff on 68s mid construction/ midyear and finding correct parts is sometimes a challenge even for the vendors. Im costantly having to check different vendors for parts. Especially when they say 68 -72. I rarely believe it. Even the AIM isn't always right.

Default Turn Signals

Well that's it for tonight. Still haven't found the plug. Has to be there because I had signals just not great signals.
Found my '68 schematic. It shows the turn signal flasher where you all say it is. But doesn't show the four way flasher in the fuse box.
Very confusing

Maybe bubba put in the wrong fuse box. Pull the emergency flasher and see what it is. Hard to know what previous owners do

Well you were all right. Bubba moved the signal flasher to the passenger side by the side vent. Took awhile tracing the purple wire but all worked out great.
THANKS to all and thanks for the great picture. It all helped
