Attendance suffers in even the biggest of car events when the weather doesn't cooperate. So a local one day rain or shine show to me is not worth the time or effort to endure nasty weather unless you don't mind being wet, uncomfortable, and bored besides getting the car dirty and driving in less than ideal conditions.

I'm going to give it a shot being thats its 10 minutes from me. I'll post pics tomorrow and let you guys know if I made a mistake by going lol. I love detailing my vette so I'll get plenty of work in on Monday in my garage.
Well, you got to take the car out and at least you were mentally prepared to get rain. Now for the fun part...getting her home and drying her off.
And a good looking '68!
Maybe that was a clue to it being possible to move indoors for rain...?
Obvious to most people but beware of unpaved parking shows.
I just started taking a convertible car (not a 'vette) out last year and a couple were with some off and on rain showers. 1st a public park next to baseball fields, 2nd was a week later both on and around baseball fields.
Of course there was a little mud but people were getting stuck in the soft outer fields at the 2nd show, needing to be towed out by other helpful people. Probably the last thing you want to be doing.
There's a rain date (following week) for that one, a large cruise-in, but it began rain-free before the sudden downpour toward the end.
I'll drive mine through just about any weather. I will avoid gravel roads though. My car is what I would classify a 10 footer, so by no means a show car. If it was mint and I had just spent years restoring it then I might think of it differently, but probably not haha.

The roads and drivers are bad enough around here when the roads are dry and they can see their cells phones without the wipers and defrosters distrscting them. I don't need the rear end jumping out when I bounce over a pot hole
Was a good day, rain was steady in the morning. I found out my rear defroster works well, my wipers are adequate and most important my c3 does not leak. Also won 1st place.
I've been caught out in the rain several times.
I don't intentionally set out to drive in the rain but have gotten caught in it coming home at times.
One of the first things I did get working on my '68 coupe was the wipers and squirters. Good think as they came in handy.
My coupe did not leak however it probably would fail a car wash test
with all original weather stripping.
Mine is an original paint 5 footer so I drive it and enjoy it.
I do not intentionally set out in the rain but 20-30% doesn't scare me.
Good job Bruce on the 1st place trophy. There were obviously other enthusiasts who drove there from your pictures. Some very nice C-2's out in this weather too
Your car looks very nice
I want to make it to the Fall Chip Miller event some time.

Thank you Marshal, it really was a lot of fun the best part being how excited my 9 year old daughter was when we won. She is learning fast walking through the show pointing out all the c3 and c4s lol
That's so cool she loves corvettes.
I went to a cruise nite and a nice little boy was sitting in his
dads 66 green GT mustang, a nice looking car, and he says to me
nice car. Looks like he was a corvette kid too
Corvettes have a mystic of their own.
Hope to meet you at a local event sometime.
