Default 1971 lt1 with automatic

I bought a 1971 corvette body and shifter plate says it would have been a lt1 but nothing I read says it is possible how can I find if this is original plate thanks for any info vin is 194371s111466

No automatic available with the LT-1 option for '70-'72. And the data plate you show is from a '70 LT-1. In '71 the horsepower was 330 because of the reduced compression ratio.

That tach is wrong for an lt1 the redline is too low. The stats plaque on the shifter plate is fairly easy to swap so my guess is that someone switched the plaque at some point

The font on the plate is all wrong as well. Its a cheap copy of a 1970 LT-1 console plate.

A good example of why console data plates are unreliable verification. You can make your car into an L-88 if you'd like. It's as simple as ordering a reproduction plate and swapping the two.
