I use a Gates 7320 on my '71 LS5, 3/8" x 32 5/8". You might find it too short, but you have to remove the top pulley, then put the belt on the crank pulley first, then put it on the top pulley and re-install it on the water pump studs. I've been doing it this way for over 40 years.

If you use a belt that fits without removing the water pump pulley, it will be too long.

yeah i was thinking that last night after reading more. i tried that 7320 but even with the pulley of, it was impossible. but i had the studs on. so I'm going to get that belt again and try it. and remove the studs.

Good luck.

Also, I made note of 2 other forum members belts sizes for the crank to water pump belt. I still prefer to use Gates brand.

One used Goodyear 15325 and the other used Dayco 15440.

You could try a place called poly tech designs out of NJ. They usually can make any length belt you need. They make them for my belt drive system.

gates 7320 works perfect. removing the water pump studs is a must.
