This is like the people who buy a web cam go into the woods for the first time and shot a video of bigfoot 
so how did the perp know the one place in the entire frame to park to block the car/license from the camera, then he seems to not see or care about the camera or getting popped hitting the same place twice.
Home owner says he got hit once already and wanted to see if the cat came back, gated community, but the camera owner doesn't alert gate security be on the look out for a dbag in a cheesy yellow vette?
Or is this that wannabe gated where there is an auto gate and anyone can roll past it.
Oh, and he didn't alert the local deliveries that he got ripped off, the whole thing screams fake or a really lame home owner.
if this isn't a hoax then it will not take much to track down all yellow vettes of that year in the area, then easy o to bust the d-bag driving that one....
So with the thread where people were bashing LEO's for pulling over people to check out their cars is still simmering seems this is an example of a great time for the local LEO's to pull over all yellow c whatever that thing was and when they find a dork that matches the video arrest him.....

Consider the entire video is bogus and created by the home owner. He/she could be the "thief" and the C5 might be his/hers.

The homeowner may not like the perp and what he's up to, but it's still nice to see he gives respect to the car.
Don't know if the footage is bogus or not, but it makes you wonder how much of this stuff happens everyday. Plus, picking up a random package is like a stolen lottery. You might pick up a box with some electronics or a box of baby diapers. Either way, you ruined someone's day for no good reason. Seems like a pretty bad day job, to me.

This stuff happens all the time. Happened to me, I was out of town over night and had packages delivered from USPS to my front porch. They were gone the next day. Of course it was a $300 vararam intake and a $50 torque wrench that were stolen. Filed a police report which was waste of time. After that I installed a camera system and a sign letting people know there were cameras

Why make this hoax video? I don't get the "why bother". Making a hoax video like this accomplishes nothing, unless he hates vette owners?
None of the listed "hoax" reasons make a lot of sense.
Lot's of coincidences in crimes. Parking there was just a shot in the dark. The owner didn't know it was a yellow vette until after the video was viewed. I'm sure he has reported the car by now. Security can't do diddly squat if the guy lives in the gated community. Even if he comes in daily as a worker or a guest, security can't stop him. They have zero legal authority other then reporting him to the cops. Now he won't be hard to find by the cops with a car like that.

I said this looks more like a hoax to me for a lot of reasons, I would love to see a follow up that the fellow was busted and that the video is real or fake but like I said I'm not sold it's real, we all agree "IF" real this is an easy fellow to bust, with that should be a follow up...a cat who took the time to edit, script and post the video would up date it if the guy was caught wouldn't you think?

LOL - I really don't care either way. I was just stating my view, not meaning to upset anyone. I was a cop for 22 years and this fits perfectly in the realm of stupid criminals. From my experience in the business the video could very easily be real.

In my view of the video it still could just as easy be fake
