The seats in my 69 are raggedy and need to be restored. Even if they were restored they still look kind of bland and they aren't very comfortable. I want to do a seat upgrade in it. I like the looks of the 84-93 C4 seats, would they fit in a 69? The seat bottoms can't be more than 20 inches wide in order to fit between the center console and the door and I want them to be able to fold forward so that I can access the storage compartment behind the seats. I'm open to trying seats from other cars too if the seat looks sporty/comfortable enough and can be easily adapted to fit the seat tracks of the 69. Any suggestions??

There have been a bunch of posts on this subject lately. I went with a set of C5 seasts in my C3. If you run a search you will come up with all kinds of ideas from this board. Good luck.
I talked with a rep from recaro at the B-J auction recently. He told me no seats that they make will fit in a C 3. Hmm, maybe thats a corporate response, you know, lawyers and all.
Search and you will see loads of posts on Seat options.
I went with 84 Fiero seats in my 74.
Originals were like sitting on a board with foam stuck on it.
I am in the process of adapting C4 seats into my '70 and by the looks of things they will fit okay but sit higher than the originals if using the C4 seat tracks. So far it I have measured up and found the front mounting holes of the C3 seat tracks will line up with the C4 seat holes but I will need to make adapter plates to reach from the rear seat holes to the tracks ( I am making everything so that it can be returned to stock if required). Using the C3 tracks seems to be the way to go but means ditching the electric adjustments so sourcing manual C4 seats will maybe save some $$.
I have seen mention that the C4 seats rub on the door panels but so far this doesn't appear that it will be the case for me. I have a thread running in the tech section where I am documenting the change if you are interested.

Thanks for the replies guys, every bit of info helps. My search fu isn't very good, I can't seem to find any other threads on seat options for a C3 other than the thread from haggisbash and the one that ignatz linked to. If anyone has some more links to other C3 seat threads it would be greatly appreciated.

Theres no available fiero seats in my area, so I picked up.some c5s for $300 that need some work, new seat bottom foam and a 1 inch tear to be sewn. Can't wait for some free time

Corbeau A4 narrow version with the 1" shaved foam option is what I put in my 76. Granted they are a bit much and with the sliders mounted they couldn't tilt forward but since I'm the only one that drives it mounting them straight to the floor as far back as I could get them was no problem.

Who did your sear covers. Thats exactly the color and pattern I want for my c5 standad seats. Thanks
Mine look as good as the day I put them on.
Remember, Leather seats need to be conditioned at least once a year or they will dry out and split/crack.
I just got some conditioning wipes to try out.
Mr Mike has at least two different blacks, so ask for a sample pack.
