Default Torque Thrust II - NO 4" BACKSPACE OPTION!!

Its driving me crazy here searching for this so called phontom 4" backspacing.

Where is everyone getting these TTII's with a 4" backspace?

The factory doesn't make that backspack:

Awesome

SO what is the difference between the two, physically and looks/performance wise on the car and which is the better choice of the premade options?

Thanks,
Justin

You didnt state a year in your post or profile but I'm guessing you have a 68 to 72 bumper car and when you use their tools it tells you the BOLD number will fit your car. In this case it points to the VN5155861 with the 3.79 BS. They basically will perform and look the same other than a less than 3/4" difference in offset. The 3.79" is closer to the factory offset. Personally I went to the 17" wheel in order to have a much greater selection in performance tires.

The 3.79 backspace option would be barely noticeable.

When you say "barely noticable", exactly what do you mean? My interpretation is that you are saying it is so close to 4" that its the same.

Also, which sticks out more, 4.5" backspace or 4" backspace?

THANKS!

If the wheel is the same width, a 4" backspace will stick out .5" MORE than the 4.5" B.S. wheel.

The 3.79" B.S. Wheel ( if same width) will stick out just under 1/4" lmore than the 4" wheel. If having inner fender well interference it Might allow you bump up from a 245/60 to a 255/60 15 for example. A 255 is about .4" wider than a 245 sidewall to sidewall

I love raised white letters on our American muscle/ sports cars,

Which system do you use on yours? Do they stay on reasonably well?

They look great.

Yes 3.79" is almost exactly the same as 4.00" It is 0.21" or 5.33mm different meaning a 8" wide wheel will stick out 0.21" or 5.33mm farther than stock. You have to have a pretty good eye to notice that difference.
