Default 73 Corvette nose emblem

Good Morning: Need a little help here hope you can help me. I am working on a 73 Corvette. The previous owner removed all the emblems and painted over the holes. I want to put the emblems back on. What I need to know is where the nose emblem mounts up. I was wondering if I would be able to get the distance from the left and right headlights to the emblem. Also the distance from the V of the front nose deck where the deck and hood meet to the top of the emblem. Hope I'm describing this right. Thank you in advance for any help you can extend to me. Have a great day. Charles

Have you looked underneath for evidence of patched holes? The AIM shows the emblem installation but does not list dimensions since the mounting holes were in the panel when received at St. Louis. Ditto for the fender scripts and rear letter kit. You might be able to see where they were.

Thank you for your response Easy Mike. Yes I have looked underneath and I do not see any evidence of these holes being filled in.
If anyone out there owns a 73 I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to measure these distances for me. I want to mount it correctly. Thank you all for your time. You guys are great.

If no one else has the measurements for you when I get back to Texas Saturday or Sunday I will measure mine as I have the emblem off.

If I forget send me a pm and I'll run down to the shop and get it for you.

Here are the measurements from my 73. Hope this helps. Placed the rule at the very end of the nose opening along the center ridge at the top. And from the tip of the bottom nose area to the emblem also along the center ridge. Regards,
Jim
