Default plug wire routing

Well I know yall are going to think I am nuts but my 383 always had 1 low cylinder compression and it was going out the bottom not through the heads. So when it started smoking a little I pulled it. I had everything to build a nice 327 with 2.02 heads and a Lunati 268/276 cam but I am sick and tired of headers and everything that goes with them so I am going back with the rams horn manifolds. Does anyone have any pics of their plug wires running behind the heads and around instead of over the top of the valve covers.

I need to do this too. Mine are all over the top of the engine and one wire even loops back on itself by the carburetor.

Found a Chevy forum with pictures, including a diagram, with talk of using '75 and '77 wire sets.

Good to hear!
Now I don't know which way I want mine to be, above (outside valve covers) or below.

(It might depend on the angle of the sparkplugs and what type of exhaust manifolds or headers are mounted.)

Original 350 small block '77, likewise the manifolds are probably original. So probably behind and under is the way to go.

Got to say, I'm nothing like Skip Burney and others doing major engine work. Maybe this kind of thing will be simple by comparison for the talented mechanically inclined people, and not too tough for me to do either. I hope.

It`s a snap just think through how you want the wires to run add the looms then change them out ONE WIRE at a time.
