Sunday afternoon said so long to 0009 Pace Car.
Sad day but happy money wise.
Going to a classic car museum in Birmingham Alabama.
New owner loves it.
Maneuvered his huge trailer right up to my barn door, can't be adding any miles!

I may have gotten the last "private" look at VIN 0009 last week. Took a side trip enroute to BG to the Kaps farm to see the Pace Car. Well cared for but the best part is we had a tech session on power antenna repair's.

Yep! Kap took an antenna apart and showed how its done. Most interesting.

Great visit!

I need to go visit it, only hour and a half drive from me. Never been to that place before but seems like I saw that museum on one of the car-related TV shows, or maybe American Pickers.
Bought a bass boat from a guy only a few miles from it 8 years ago, so just missed finding it back then.

Thought the "museum" was going to be Barber Motorsports Park and Museum near Talladega; just another 1/2 hour drive farther, after checking Google Maps. I've been there several times but only found out about it a couple years ago. Would've fit in real well because of the race track. Don't recall if they have a Corvette Pace car.

I am sure that was bittersweet. Glad she is going to a good home for people to enjoy. Well enjoy looking at her....
