Rear bumper chrome cracked
I have had my '72 since '95 and the rear bumpers were always fine, but maybe a year or so I noticed a fine crack in the curve area of the CHROME it's not the steel in the bumper, it's the chrome finish that is cracked, just enough that I can catch a finger nail in it, the house faces directly west, so the PM sun will get the rear of the car hotter than hell it is FLORIDA afterall, and temps have been up to 105f in the shade.....but none of that seems to affect the size/appearance of the crack.....
the other thread talking of front bumpers and fitment issues is mentioning getting them rechromed, well I bought my front bumper from Ecklers here over 16 years ago, and the fit has never been great, I have an old OEM one that fits better, so it needs to be rechromed, and SO to ask....
WHO does good chrome work anymore?? how much on shipping??
OR maybe I better off just getting them powder coated which I can do locally....

Being that you are not STOCK anyway, I would have them powder coated locally. Hell of a lot cheaper than re-chroming too and you have a wide variety of colors to choose from. Black would be nice and accentuate the work you have already done!
