Lift up the grilles in the dash (should be easy, they are just slid into indents in the dash on the left and right sides). That will expose the speakers. Then unscrew and remove the speakers.

We went on step further because we found ourselves replacing these speakers quite often of late. The screws are a pain to get to so we took a china made socket and welded it to a wrench so you can get in there easier. A wrench will work fine but they are a pain to get to the screws close to the windshield.
