Any guesses as to what this rare sports car will fetch?
Check out joerpyleauctions to see what else is on the block.
The photos were interesting. But, you know, it just looks like he bought a bunch of cars and parked them. Even the the 53 vette is a 45 yo restoration. Still worth a bunch of money. It always amazes me that people won't even rinse the dust off of cars to present them for sale. Makes you assume the family has more money than they can spend and just clearing out the property. Thanks for posting.
The 2 day auction started this morning and a lot of money was thrown around. This "53 Convertable was sold as is for $170,000. As is normal with auctions some items sold for more than they were worth and some were bought at a steal. I had been keeping track of the proxi bids on line and knew I would be wasting my time driving the hour and a half to bid on something. Most of what I am interested in will be on the block tomorrow including a "71 Cuda and a "68 Roadrunner. These won't bring what the "53 did but they will go high.
