Driving home tonight from dinner, stopped to fill up, when we left pull light switch and noticed only the passenger light came up. Drove until
We could pull over. I could pull up the drivers light. When I did that they stay up but if I shut them off only the passenger light would come back up. So I pulled up the drivers side, and drove home.when I pulled the rain the garage. I shut the lights off and tried it again an now the passenger light barely comes up. I have no idea where to begin.
Probably based off what I gear from other people, check the vaccum lines and maybe even just replace them, a lot of people have problems like this so maybe do a google search aswell and see what other people did.
Yeah, I'd say that your system is probably OK but your hoses are rotten- especially if they are original to the car.
You have some classic symptoms of progressively "lazy eyes" and not going up steady or going down steady.
An easy way to test is the get a longish piece of hose and hold it to your ear as you trace the system from the back of the engine to the front of the car. If you hear something, you found it.
Don't forget you have a little valve under the drivers side dash that is part of the system that has an "on/off" pull lever.
Here is a schematic to help you.. I'd go check Q and R with the lamps on and see if they have vacuum... It sounds like you might have a hose off or cracked. Check each hose end to see if maybe one split... you can usually cut these back a 1/2 inch or so and then re-attach them too.
Thanks for the info, I found an acorn and mice turds on the intake while I was on vacation. So I'll need to call a pest guy on Monday, thinking the little suckers nibbled on a line somewhere. But I will follow the schematic.

Tooonz.. You really need to get on that for sure.
I lost a car due to mice about 25 years ago... They ate through the positive wire running to the distributor, it shorted and the car burned on the next drive out. The hood cable burned in half, the fire department couldn't get the hood open so the chopped a hole in it and it ruined a unmolested 19k mile car.
You really need to make sure you get rid of these critters... They love the coating off the wires and they love to eat the firewall padding, seat foam and the carpet under-layment. They also love packing this stuff in the A pillars to make them a new home which can lead to other issues not to mention the crap and **** smell the love to leave.
