I'm guessing I know the answer already, but it doesn't hurt to ask. My radiator on my 73 is in need of replacement. I'm leaning towards going with the Dewitts unit with the electric fans so I never have to worry about heat again. Checking the brackets and everything before placing my order and my core support could use a replacement as well. It's not completely rotted out, but it's not great.
I have what I was told was a 74 core support in good usable condition. Looking closer and it's actually an 82 core support. Would I be able to use the support from an 82? I'm not concerned with originality since I'm going with an aftermarket radiator anyways.
If it's an 82, there will be a slight dip or v in the center of it. I believe only 82 had that. If it's not in too bad a shape, maybe someone on the forum looking to restore an 82, you might be able to sell it and get a new one. They are hard to come by. Just a thought.

Yeah it has the v dip. I may lordy it and see if it would sell. Im putting out a call to my network of parts hoarders to try and find a decent used support or try and find one at Carlisle.
People do not realize how important that part is. Besides holding the radiator and shroud, it helps support and locate the whole front end of the car! Buy a well made new one. Lou.
