Default Radiator Support

I mounted the front frame assembly today as well as the radiator support. I have in mind, being able to do an engine run prior to putting the chassis in storage and bringing the body in the shop. At first glance, it looks like the radiator will be way too close to the engine. After looking at my 80, I realize how it lines up with the inner fenders. (All this was missing on the 73). I was wondering, as I've seen guys mount radiators for engine runs, do you just pull the support back a bit with some wire, or fab something temp to keep the radiator out of the fan? I'm wanting to check for leaks, as I imagine a lot of engine areas are hard to get to once the body is on.
