Default Ground Clearance for Tremec

My '74 is lowered, with the frame under the doors at just 5 inches from the ground. Will the Tremec 5-speed be tucked enough under the frame so that it doesn't grind the road in say, a bump?

Your headers will hit before the transmission will. Possibly the oil pan also, if you are running a deep pan.

Your bell housing will be the lowest point in the drive train.

My T56 6-speed fits fine and the bell housing is the lowest point. The exhaust hits ground before anything else.

On my '72, the bell housing is the low point. The TKO600 case low point sits even with the trans crossmember. I'm running sidepipes.
