Hello everyone! My name is Dan, I recently inherited this 79 corvette from my father in law. My wife and I have decided to sell it(starting a family).Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about it. It's actually the first one with this body kit I have ever seen. If there is any info anyone could help me out with I would greatly appreciate it. The engine is out(427 6 pack) not original. I would be initially looking to sell it without it. Rear end trans shafts are all with the car. If anyone could give me a rough value or at least an idea of what to ask for it that would be wonderful. I have more pics if needed. Thank you all very much in advance
The interior is all original and in mediocre shape at best. Has uni lug wheels which is neat. And underside of car is in real good shape. It was a California car hasn't been running for approx 15 years
customs have been my passion for the 35 plus years I have been into corvettes and while your car has a wide body "kit" that looks a little like the greenwood Daytona it's not, it could be some race car parts or one off, but they ook more race than finished street custom,
From the grease pencil on the windshield looks like it was up for sale or just bought,
I do not know rust condition which makes a project c3 into a parts car quickly, but even if not rusty you are facing finding the one cat who likes this wide body treatment, so as it sits no engine or trans and assuming the rust isn't horrible and you have a clear title perhaps 2k-4k...no title will hurt it as will rust.
The knock off wheels likely worth more than the rest of the car,
But a big block 427 tri power is an expensive engine, more so if the numbers match a fellows car it came out of, a rebuilt one was in another thread asking over 11K

Thanks for the info. There is a trans and rear end with shafts, it's a Cali car. No rust. And it was purchased by my father in-law approx 15 years ago
did he have it running and driving?
not trying to be a d bag but 68-82's hide rust in some places only a body off will show, but if it is rust free that is a plus, and the front looks good,
The rear panels do look race to me, but would be open on the rears for air flow, the way the sides flow into the 80 rear bumper duck tail is pretty cool,
when you have spare time try and look inside and see if the front and rear are full clips with the panels or the panels were stuck to a stock body
The panels were definately stuck on a stock body.... Also you are correct on the race body. My father in-law was very active in the road racing scene in Elkhart lake WI. The car did run when he bought it. He didn't drive it much before he pulled it apart to start a resto and never ended up finishing it.

racing history adds value to some cars for some people if you have the documentations or pictures to prove it, the types that matters to needs their proof,
The racing panels even in the day were more less of a secret among racers, in that these might be common panels, but my expertise is with customs,
The nose, cow catcher also looks a little like greenwood stuff,
The car is so unique that someone who hung/raced at Elkhart lake WI might just know it......
