turn signal assembly
I was incorrect it does not have the cruise control in that lever with the turn signal. Only the turn signal, wiper and dimmer are on that lever. It seems only the dimmer function is not working.
I was messing with the metal connecting rod along the outside, lower left, of the column and I think I must have dislodged it from the actual dimmer switch under the dash. Just know I had brights to dim one day and didn't the next time I tried pushing or pulling signal lever (believe it might be pulled toward you to change each time).
If you can get a look under the column under the dash you should see the switch attached to the column. I was able to push on the plastic part facing direction of steering wheel with the metal rod (hopefully you still have that) but couldn't get it to stay and activate via signal lever. Only tried the one time just to get "brights" off, maybe it can be put back in place. Likewise yours if the same thing happened.
Or you might need to replace the switch, which is available for sale if you look, but apparently some people simply put a foot switch on the floor and reconnect the wires to that.
Lower steering column, above brake pedal, where headlight bright/dim switch is located. It's the white plastic part with black wiring connector on side. Other connector there is wipers. Opposite side of switch is long connector for signals, etc.
Metal connecting rod goes onto front, opposite side from photo view. Seems like there's a recess in the plastic to place that rod but I can't be sure of the exact placement. Took some force to get it in there and like I said before I failed during my one attempt.
It's not easy to maneuver that rod, which BTW is angled as it leaves the forward portion of column then follows along left side to switch.

I'll check and see if that is my problem. Thanks!
