cable lock is in
took about 2 hours the other day. after I removed the broken one I cleaned everything real good. had to make that front keeper bracket that goes on top of the tranny. I used a 1 inch by 1/8 piece of flat bar about 1 3/4 long. the lever on the front of the steering colum was easy to move I sprayed the new cable with some dry lube and installed it. I did drop the backup light switch and unbolted the front shift dog and let everything hang. it gave me room to get to everything. the hardest part of the whole installation is the clips that hold the new cable in place. same ones that they use on the emergency brake cables. anyways its done and working. thanks for all your advice. it made the job easier
