Default Rubber hood bumpers

Anyone know the distance between the front and rear hood bumper pad in the drip rails under the hood? Mine is missing the front two and I have them ordered but will need to know where to place them. The car is a 73.

start just forward of the hinge and keep adjusting until the hood is level to the fender edge. ive done it this way on both my 72 and 77. I don't believe there is an exact spot. just be careful each time you close the hood.

Yep. The purpose of the bumpers is to keep the edge of the hood even with the fender.

This is where the front one is on my 73. As stated above, you just
place them where they are needed.

Hi Donnie,
Were those original to the 73's? Don't see any pictured in the 73 AIM and didn't notice them mentioned in the 73 Judging Guide. I see the venders list them as starting in 74. I've never seen them on any original 73. I thought the only hood adjustment other than the hinges were the two round bumpers on the rear latches.
Just wondering.
Regards,
Jimmy

Tooch1,
I don't remember if they were on there originally or not. It's been too long a time.
(as it sat for 20 years)
I just needed them to correct the hood after I finished restoration.
My hood was below the fenders and the blocks corrected it perfectly.
