I would like to clean up the trim in my 82. Has anyone used a mr. clean magic eraser on theirs? would it be too abrasive? is there something that would work better? i tried searching on the thread but wasnt able to come up with much.

I tried using one on my 67 door panel and it started to remove the dye when I pressed down aggressively. It removed dirt but you need to be careful.
I've used them on my Trans Am after drips of something slightly etched into the clear coat, at first I thought it had worked indeed like magic! I started using it to clean off some other marks in the car, where has this stuff been all my life I thought! Then I got the car outside in the sun and that's when I realised I didn't like 'Magic' erasers any more, in the sun it looked as though I had wet sanded the clear coat in spots all over my car. So yeah I would not use it on any shiny surfaces like CC or Chrome. Rubbing compound would be a better much route haha.
They are very safe and effective for interior trim. Get them wet as per the instructions. But, the soft white eraser material is as fragile as it is gentle - so you'll need a couple of them.

YIKES, i'm sorry to hear that!! I'm definitely only doing the trim inside, and with light pressure.
