Hi guys,
recently my 79 began dripping and it is increasing.
The color is very light purple. Smells neutral and has a watery feel to it. When I dry my hands on a paper towel my hands remain slippery, oily. Or whatever you like to call it.
Untill today I never saw it leak. After a sporty drive I checked it after parking in my garage...saw it dripping from the left corner of the radiator.
Stragely enough when I look into the radiatorcap it is green. Also filled the expanse tank/bottle with green coolant.
Have the car for about a mounth. Checked fluid levels smell and color. All fluids seem to be new and leveled. Worked on the rear brakes and refilled brakefluid...
non of the fluids I checked was light purple..
DOT5 silicone brake fluid can be light purple. What did you refill the master cylinder with? There is a brake line on the front cross member. Nothing else near the radiator...unless it is fluid from the fan clutch. Do you have an automatic? Could be tranny fluid. Power steering fluid? A/C compressor oil?

Worked on the rear calipers. Filled only rear part of master cylinder. With dot 4.
I'll check the level and color for the front brakes.
The car has an automatic gearbox.
The clutch for the fan seems small for the qwantity I already cleaned from the floor..
ac compressor is missing. Condensor is still in place. Could it be from the condensor?

First thing that comes to mind is one of the transmission oil cooler lines leaking on the radiator side. Perhaps the fluid is mixing with something on its way to the ground to slightly change color.
