Has anyone have info on Export 1978 Pace Cars? I am looking at one from Canada and the owner made this comment "Since it was delivered to a dealership in Canada; all cars were required to be undercoated and this car bears the "maple-leaf" decal indicating this met the requirement", The car speedo is in km and was replaced with another km speedo so it doesn't show original miles. Has anyone heard about these items with a Export?
I agree with hzz. I believe the Maple Leaf sticker is confirmation the car was prepped for Canada at St. Louis. I am not sure that included undercoating. All 78s had factory sound deadener applied to the underbody and wheel wells. It is possible the dealership offered undercoating to new car buyers.

To confirm what others have noted, I judged an NCRS 1978 Corvette back in the early 2000s that was a Canadian export vehicle. It was a silver anniversary RPO B2Z. It had the Canadian maple-leaf decal in blue; The km speedometer and was not undercoated. It was featured at the Chevrolet Corvette 50th Anniversary celebration in Nashville in 2003.

Where is this car in Canada ? The "rust my car" provinces are "Quebec" and "Ontario" which may explain the under coating. (What's it hiding)
My Alberta Canada original 78 has no undercoating anywhere.
I'm importing a 1978 C3 from Canada (Ontario) and need to find out which port the car would have been originally exported (from the US) from. Any ideas how I could find that out?
