Set my dvr to record it. I'm also curious how the program works as well. Is there a cost or do the gift all the work and parts. I though about submitting my 68 to the show since I can't seem to get things done on it in a timely manner.

I guess he won't or can't shed any light on the costs or how it all works. Pity would be interesting to see how these shows work Phil

You submit your car, If they select it you organize the build, let them know what you need to complete and in my case find the parts. They bought about $6000 in parts. That is likely the cheapest part of the show. There are about 20 people onsite, Director, producer, assistants, make up, cameramen, sound techs, light techs, caterers, detailers, the mechanics. They probably filmed 20-30 hours to make a 1/2 hour show, When Ronnie and I were under the rear end you have a light guy, sound guy and 2 cameramen under there trying to film while your working. There is quite a bit of profanity cut out of the final show.

That 63 you got there is a beauty. Love to know what other work was done to that engine to get over 500HP apart from the 383 stroker? The 6 speed must be a lot of fun.

Lightweight 4340 forged Crank, Callies rods, Billet caps, ARP studs, Mahle pistons, Roller cam 236/242 114 LSA, AFR Rev kit, Comp cams Pro magnum roller rockers, Stud girdle, AFR Competition ported 195 heads milled to 72 CC. 10.4 to 1 compression, Offenhauser 360 split single plane intake with 3 - 378 CFM large base Rochesters, 1 7/8 Hooker headers W/ 4" sidetubes with Maxflow inserts. Dyno was running 1 5/8 headers and showed 515 HP @ 6200. Figured I am giving up about 20 HP with the small tubes so actual as configured in car should be about 535 HP. 495 Ft lbs but over 450 from 3800 to 6000 RPM. 13 lb flywheel, Centerforce II clutch. Revs unbelievably fast.

Finally caught the episode tonight up here in Canada. Not sure who had the biggest grin on their face at the end. You, your wife, or me! Looks like you had a great time and the 63 came out looking spectacular. Good to hear you got the flame problem fixed and I bet you guys are looking forward to summer.
