Default Just some clarity please

I have a 1979 C-3 with a 700R4 tranny. I have the motor out and I had a certified welder repair my frame on the pass side. I have power steering with the valve and cly. I have a LQ9 it was a truck motor and we are ready to go in but the oil pan is about a inch off the ground so its back out and I don't know how that didn't click but it didn't. I have searched the forum and found some good info but I unclear on what one fits better. one says it fits but it just clears the stock power steering, one clears the power steering but hangs a little low. I would like the best of both world clear the power steering and keep my ground clearance. Can someone help point me in the right direction. Any help would be great I do not want to run a dry sump oil pan. just to shorten this up I need a oil pan that will work. any questions please ask

You might want to send a PM or email to Gordon Mudge (aka; Gordonm). He's been doing an LS3 swap into his '72 for a while and has worked out about every issue you might encounter. I suspect he would know which pan will work best...

I pm Gordonm and Camaro oil pan would fit so I went looking and I think I have come across a hopeful winner. it is the Holley oil pan part number 302-1 it holds 5.5 quarts vers the 302-2 that holds 5.7 quarts. I'm thinking of going with the 302-1 for ground clearance. I am hoping maybe one of us have used the holley 302-1 oil pan and can give me some insight on the pan?
