Hey; does anyone know if a later model driver side seat belt retractor cover will fit a '73? I'm worried that the seat rail might not sit correctly over the cover. It seems that '73/'74 are rare as hens teeth. I've been checking e-bay and salvage yards to no avail. Someone mentioned Tracy Performance but they were no help.

I looked at replacing mine but ran into your problem and decided it was "good enough". Check EBay and the Parts section of this Forum. Also, blow up and print a picture (to actual size) of a later model cover. Cut it out and see how it fits; it might work with minor cutting that can't be seen when the seat is over it.

Hi to,
Another place you might try is bigcitycorvettes.com out in California. They have a lot of used OEM parts. I did see they list an original 73 retractor cover for the passenger side on their site. It's listed under 333534-1973. @ $44.99. I didn't see a drivers side listed, but if you email them, Arvin may have one in their warehouse and didn't list it on their site. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Just another place to try.
Good luck in your quest for another one of those tough to find 73 parts.

Yes I'm on their web site about every other day. I purchased a '74 cover from them that was busted and was able to repair it for the passenger side. e-mailing them is a good idea.
