I thought 42 years to own something was like a record.
No, not really, there are lots of one owners around, met a guy last year with a 66 GTO-one owner, that's 50 years. There is a guy on this forum with a model T but cant remember how long he has had it.
At the Indy VA and for a checkup and talking with my surgeon and he says his dad has owned his John Deer for 61 years.
There is a web site for one owners, but its limited to automotive vehicles. Can anybody beat 61 years?

The longest I've owned a car is 14 years. I've had my 79 for 11 years. My car show buddies include a guy who's an original owner of a 66 SS396 Chevelle. Another owns a 66 Corvette that he bought in 67 and a 31 Model A pickup that he bought in the early 60's, but I can't remember exactly what year.
