The only part of the car I have not installed Dynamat is the doors. I can't decide whether to install it directly behind the outer skin, under the window mech., or install it directly beneath the door interior panel.
I would like to hear from people who have done this each way. I am sure there are advantages/disadvantages to either method.

I'm going to be changing my door glasses soon. I was planing on using the Dynamat kit under the door panels.

I used mat on the doors of my camaro but over time it did end up delaminating and falling to the bottom could have been heat or prep?. With my corvette doors I have layered in "Boom Mat" spray (I think its a DEI product.), I have sprayed multiple coats on to get the thickness and it worked great without removing the windows. I have also used it on the hard to reach/wrap areas around the interior.
I installed fatmat megamat directly to the interior surface of the outside skin. I figured that is where the most vibration is and it sticks so well I didn't want to stick it all over the sheetmetal just under the interior panel in the event that I need to get to the window and door hardware.
I've read that the dynamat does not stick as well as the dynamat extreme and has a habbit of falling off after getting exposed to heat as well as smelling like tar.
The dynamat extreme sounds similar to the stuff I used, a butyl rubber with foil on it. I know that the stuff I used does not come off. It's been there for 5 years now and is still stuck where I put it.
For side pipes it helped quite a bit for cutting the noise out when I roll up the windows.
