Could be something as simple as bad speakers as well. That's the issue I have had on the past couple corvettes I've repaired. Does the radio click on when you turn the controls on? You should be able to very faintly hear static or a radio signal coming from the radio itself. If you hear that, there's a good chance you just have bad speakers. I buy my replacement 10ohm speakers from turnswitch.com.
Sorry I wish but it is totally dead no sound no ligt nothing happens and I have power to the radio. Any internal fuse inside?
Sounds just like the radio in my 73. Had power, but no light or sound.
I could hear click when turning on, but no click turning off. I just removed
the **** and sprayed some WD40 into the on/off switch as I turned it
on and off. I began to hear it click when turning off and the radio began to
work again. I had tested the speakers when the dash was out, so I knew
they were good.

Just a little info on WD40 it will clog your switch up sooner or later since it contains a solvent and oil wich will destroy plastic parts. You can get a electronic cleaner in almost any store selling electronics and those are made to clean up pots and other electronic stuff without harm the plastics. It will come with or without lube for electric switches. I will try clean mine up and see what happens and the speakers are working so it cant be those.

Glad you knew about this already, I was about to write up about using electronics cleaner for this.
