Car Cover, Useful or Harmful?

Have 12 car covers for all my rides! The best a reflective material on the out side ( Silver finish) and a breathabel cloth type in side.. Found on e-bay $20.00 And they work well when a rain storm hits!

Since I'm the one with the bubbled paint that the original poster referred to, and *fake* already resurrected this thread once, I'll clarify: My covers WERE quality breathable California Car Cover brand covers.
The deluge of rain combined with overnight freezing led to water soaked into the paint expanding and bubbling the paint like an inverted golf ball. It did recover somewhat with time but really needs a repaint one of these days. I don't want someone else learning the hard way that even the best cover car be overwhelmed with continuous rain. No solution other than a carport, or inflatable bubble, though I learned that the zippers on those bubbles fail within a few years which makes the $900 price a regrettable expenditure. No garage in my near future so carport it is.
Could do with some of that rain this year with wildfire "season" already begun in March!
