Was the front of the car on the ground when you tightened the control arm bushing bolts?
I don't want to hijack this thread but I may have a similar issue. If the car was not on the ground when the control arm bushing bolts were tightened would it be as simple as loosening the bolts with the car on the ground and retightening?

Yes, but I'd also either roll the car back and forth or drive it around the block to settle the suspension before tightening the bolts back up.

Yes, but since it could apply to both the the upper, as well as the lower control arms, you'd to have the car either on ramps, or a "drive-on" lift, so you could access all the bolts.
