Air con Fault
Hi
Air conditioning fault every time i turn on the air con it blows the fuse
ive disconnected every think under bonnet + the fan switch and it still blows the fuse can some one help me before i start riping out the consol

In theory nothing in the console could cause a short because no ground in present in the HVAC controls, only +12V.
Have you removed the leads (again +12V) at the compressor clutch and the idle increase solenoid mounted on the carb? I suppose either othe those could become internally shorted.
If you must get into the console you only need to remove the carpeted panel (begin with driver side as you may or may not need to remove the passenger side). There are three screws (front, middle & rear) in the panels that can be hard to see as they hide in the carpet pile.

The brown wire from the fuse panel runs into the ac switch in the heater control. Its possible this switch may be defective. https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...r-switch-77-82

Thanks the one wire i didnt disconnect Idle Stop Sol when i disconected still had the same problem but i Move the cable & check it again problem stop so check wiring blow me down there it was cable rubbing on the bracket it was cable tyed to it shorting it out
