L48 to Ls2
Decided to make an update after considerable thought and comparison. Thought about a stroker sbc, lots of good options there,but ultimately chose the ls2. Found this out of an 2006 C6.
I finished putting new floors in, lower windshield birdcage repairs, both corners inside and outside.
Replaced the windshield header frame.
Stuck the firewall back on temporarily and test fitted the engine and trans.
Wish the better weather would hurry up and get here, my time has been limited due to the cold and snow!

72 and sunny here today, and I spent all day in the garage working on my 79. Looks like you've made some great progress. I know I'd be in a world of hurt with a rusty birdcage as I don't have the skills to fix it.

The weather has been warm the last couple of days but forecast colder again soon😂
