FIA Headlight Question

Default FIA Headlight Question
So a number of years ago I bought the FIA headlight kit from FGregg Racing.

I am actually getting around to finishing the installation and I was wondering:

What is the donor vehicle that the headlight adjuster screws come from? The guys at autozone are less than helpful if they cant look it up on the computer.




Any help would be greatly appeciated.

The other thing I noticed is that the springs are really tight and like to bend the headlight cups. Any experience anybody may have in this regard is also helpful

Mine are originals from GM. I don't remember how I did the adjusters, but paint them on the INSIDE and they will look great

Seems some of the early ones ran corvair metal bucket the part holding the lamps but i found these that look like your adjusters,

Thanks guys.

I think while looking at the vintage exotics kit, that maybe the headlight bulb mount cups I got from zip are the wrong shape towards the back maybe.

There should be a bag with all the headlight mounting stuff in it if you got the kit from Gregg. Springs, adjustors, screws, aluminum plates. The only pieces not included are the bulbs, buckets and retaining rings. I have an extra kit if needed. I think Greg has the kit listed on his website. Classic automotive and aircraft.

Thanks Terry.

Whenever I try and adjust one of the lights to be remotely straight the spring pulls the adjuster out of the housing. I bought the buckets and rings from Zip, and I think they may have the wrong taper on the back relative to the buckets in the other pictures.

I will take a picture tomorrow.
