Yup.......Stinger hood, 1977 - 1982. Too bad they don't make it for a 71, that would look so cool on a chrome bumper stingray.

A 67 427 scoop fits nice over the stinger on a 68-72 small block hood

I think American Sports Car Design, was the first to make them. They were originally in Marysville TN, but they're now located in Florida.

Fiber Concepts in Warminster PA might make them too. I know they make "stinger" hoods for 97 up Corvettes, and I think they have them for other years, as well as other Chevrolets.

That's a reproduction of the Baldwin-Motion 68-72 hood, done by a Forum member (Parkerracing I think).

The Motion hoods added a 67 stinger scoop, to a big block/LT-1 hood.

Parkers phase hood from what i understand comes from the legedary fiberglass molds who made it for motion, it comes with a legedary price, lol,

The version of the phase hood stinger sells isnt motion correct, the rear of the 427 scoop does flow back on top its cut off, with a cut price,

To me the phase hood looks like a wild custom hood, not so much hp or power, people did that design of stacking those scoops before motion made it famous,

The 68 427 scoop on a 68-72 sb hood, to me has a classic could be factory look of hp and power, not as in your face as the L88 scoop, but very refined and good looking on these cars, yet is hinting something lies beneath.

Legendary in Pennsylvania? That's interesting.

I know that Fiber Concepts in PA, acquired all of their Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle, etc, molds for custom hoods and spoilers, but I thought most of the Corvette molds were missing.

I knew some of their Corvette hood molds were found, but from what I was told, none of their molds for Corvette body panels, have ever turned up.

Without a doubt, Legendary made some of the best fiberglass available. It was a shame to see them go. I liked Larry and knew him well, I dealt with him often. It was a real loss to the hobby, when they closed. Larry had a lot of health issues, after the business closed.

I have no idea who has and is using the phase molds now that parker sells hoods from, i have been told for 35 plus years legendary made a lot of motions glass, i have seen some nice motion parts and some horrible resin rich junk adding in reviews like yours and that lead me to also believe for over 35 years motion didnt use only one out source for glass,

a mold doesnt matter that much,
People and companies ripped molds from parts,
molds were pulled from my motion mako stuff but the parts made from said molds are not really motion any more so than the hood parker is selling, its at best a parker phase hood, a clone a copy, not made by or sold by motion

Edit:
I have been under the impression legedary made the first phase hood and mold for motion, if that is not the case i will look at evidence that says otherwise.

Motion had a lot of other corvette stuff and that would call for molds, the spider wide body the super shark wide body, flares spoilers air damns, perhaps it is all lost in some warehouse

The car shown in the beginning belongs/belonged to curtis74. The hood in question was purchased from Vanacor. Curtis had to do alot of alterations to make the hood fit. He posted alot of photos back in 2009 or 2010 when he made the changes. This video was made to show the changeover.

Thanks for posting the video. I actually have the pic that I uploaded as wallpaper on my computer. The purists are no doubt melting down over it, but I like it

Vanacors,
Hum, i knew they did rip ecklers on that but didnt know they sold any before all the drama and going defunct,

I only heard feedback from a few using Ecklers stinger hood and all said it fit well,

Some People think a c3 hood can be swapped around and will always fit well, this is not the case even swapping stock hoods what fits your car super might fit mine crappy...
