This was my first year having my 68 at a large car show. I entered the Del Mar Good Guys show which draws about 2500 cars and fills the fairgrounds. I got there on Saturday at nine and ended up parking way, way in the back. Got a lot of interest in the car which was nice and met a lot of cool people.
But here is the surprise part, I counted only five C-3's at the show both days I was there. Maybe twenty total corvettes from all years. The autocross was fun, but if I want to be competitive in that, I have to take the car in a whole different direction with that. Chip Foose had a really cool Penterra there.
And I fell for the Photo set up. But it does make my car look good.
Anybody else go?
That staged photo looks great.
Car looks amazing.
Did the Rotti go too?
Marshal
Nope, Brinx had to stay home.
On the staged photo, I am driving the car, they have a booth and lights set up. You get your choice of backgrounds. The wife liked it so much I can hang inside the house.
Thanks for the kind words on the car guys. I could not of done it with out the help of this forum.
Next up Plastic Fantastic in downtown San Diego on the water front.
I went to a Corvette show in Destin,FL yesterday. About 50 cars. Two C1's, three C2's, four C3s (1 '73, 1 '74 1 '76, 1 '78), one C4, two C5's, two C6's and about 25 C7's.
Was really surprised that most of the show was C7's.
