What am I missing/doing wrong?? I want to remove the upper dash pad on my 72 Coupe and I think that I have everything removed to get it out but I can't seem to get it out. I already have both the L/H and R/H dash pieces out, the center "small" gauge cluster (bezel & gauges) and the side and upper inner pillar post trim off as well. The upper pad is unbolted, and I even removed the center defroster duct (just to get extra room), and while the pad slides backwards a little, and can "twist" a small amount, there is not enough room to twist it to clear the windshield frame.
Is there something I'm missing to remove the upper dash pad..?? This is the OE dash pad and is in good shape, so I don't want to break it by twisting or bending it (it is quite brittle) so what is the "secret" to get it past the windshield frame pillars?
