if rebuildable and complete, the 454 and tranny is worth 4K right there.. aftermarket hood 500$.. those carbs reconditioned are going for 1000....
I would pay 3K for it, more if metal is good

I agree with Joe on the ball park price.
If the engine is rebuildable (and that is the chance a buyer is taking as there is no way to know until the engine is broken open and checked for cracks and rust) and the frame is good, then maybe it could be $5k. If it turns into a parts car than it will be less but its still valuable to restorers for that very reason. Lots of needed parts are possibly on that car.
As Joe said, if the carb has not been replaced, even the cores are worth some decent money. Same with original radiators, starters, alternators, etc. Parting out a car can be worth more than selling a decent running car.
Since its a LA car I would be worried about it being flooded during Katrina. It has to be checked thoroughly for rusty frame issues.
The What's it Worth thread is migrating towards a Sales thread.
Please don't sell the car in the General area. If you have the car for sale, please start a thread in the Cars For Sale section with an asking price. Thanks.
