I've had a slightly dim rear driver's side brake light, so I decided to replace all the rear lightbulbs and use a little bit of dialectric grease to ensure a good connection. The outside brake lights were dead simple and went exactly like I'd expect. The center backup lights... not so much.
I feel really dumb, but what the heck is the trick?
I've removed the housing but the mini light housing doesn't simply unscrew like the outside lights did -I've applied as much pressure as I'm comfortable applying without posting on here for more feedback first.
Also anyone have a good source for drop-in replacement rear LED light bulbs and the overhead dome light for our C3s?
Thanks.
Adam

They should come out just like the outside bulbs. Push the bulb in and turn counterclockwise. They may be corroded in there. Be careful of the bulb breaking and cutting your fingers.
Any 1157 and 1156 LED replacement bulb will work but you will have to change out the flasher for an electronic one.
your profile doesnt show the year and neither does your post. Up to 73 they used one back up lamp set up and 74 had a unique one and then 75 to 79 had another and finally 80 to 82 had still another. So what mini housing are you unscrewing, it should just be a lens to replace a bulb.
